Day 341 – Team Lunch
My boss has implemented a monthly Team Lunch for us to get
off campus and share a meal; it’s not something the university pays for
(unfortunately), but it is a chance for us to get away together.
We went to an Italian place not far from campus and the food
was good (though the service was rather slow).
It is nice to feel like I belong to a team again. I don’t miss consulting in this regard; when
you’re an independent consultant, the team is always made up of your customers. Today was time with my peers.
I think I’m going to enjoy working with these
folks, and the sense of belonging is nice.
